PEP obtains green light for EOR at Tanjung Field

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) has obtained the green light from SK Migas, the caretaker upstream oil and gas regulatory, to carry out enhanced oil recovery program (EOR), via surfactant and polymer injection, at the Tanjung field in South Sumatra.

PEP Director of Development Doddy Priambodo told Petromindo.com Thursday that the company is accompanied by Lemigas and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in carrying out the EOR program at the Tanjung field.

He added that the company teamed with the Bogor Agriculture University (IPB) in conducting trial for the surfactant, which is produced from processing crude palm oil.
