PEP: Oil, gas output at Pendopo field far exceeds target

PT Pertamina EP (PEP), an upstream subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, said that oil and gas production at the Pendopo field in South Sumatra exceeded target last year.

The company said in a statement obtained Wednesday that gas production at the field at the end of last year reached 293,977 mmscfd, or 108 percent higher than the original target.

It added that oil production soared to 2,065 bpd at the end of the year, or 157 percent of the original target.

The strong production performance was attributed to the operation of the compressors at the SP Musi Barat and SP Betung plants, Pendopo field Manager, Ekariza said.
