PEP: Oil output averages at 123,000 bopd, gas at 1,060 mmscfd

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) said that oil production as of early October averaged 123,000 bopd, compared to the 132,000 bopd target.
PEP Public Relations Manager Agus Amperianto told Petromindo.com Thursday that average gas output stood at 1,060 mmscfd. He did not provide the target figure, but according to previous report by Petromindo.com, the company?s gas output target for this year 1,160 mmscfd.
PEP noted that it has faced production obstacle in 14 wells, whose drilling programs have been postponed due to subsurface reevaluation and investment strategy, as well as obstacle in procurement and land preparation for drilling.
Agus said that illegal tapping of crude at the Tempino-Plaju gas pipeline in South Sumatra has been reduced, but the company would further intensify security in cooperation with the Indonesian Military to help curb the crime.
