PEP, Pabuaran in operational cooperation on gas production

Pertamina EP (PEP) and PT IEV Pabuaran have signed a three-year contract of operational cooperation to produce gas in the concessions of Pertamina EP.

The company said in a press statement on Wednesday that PEP President Director Syamsu Alam and PT IEV Pabuaran President Director Christopher Nghia Do signed the cooperation contract in Jakarta on Monday (Sept.3, 2012).

"We signed the cooperation agreement with PT. IEV Pabuaran. We?ll cooperate in the production of gas as PT IEV Pabuaran has been experienced in gas production. We hope that PT IEV can monetize the gas project for Pertamina EP. We?re optimistic that PT IEV will be committed to that agreement,? said PEP President Director Syamsu Alam in Jakarta on Monday.

Syamsu Alam was also very hopeful that under the agreement PT IEV Pabuaran would be able to maximize the gas production of Pertamina EP.

He said that PT IEV would have to realize its commitment to drill four wells. ?We hope that all of the drillings will provide positive results, so that we can monetize our marginal fields,? he added.
