PEP prepares phase 2 development of Pondok Makmur field

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) is making preparations for the second phase development of the Pondok Makmur field in the Tambun block, Bekasi, West Java, in the middle of next year.

The Pondok Makmur phase-1 development has already reached production stage at a rate of 2,000 bopd.

?We?re currently preparing the necessary documents for the phase 2 development,? PEP President Director Syamsu Alam told Petromindo.com Monday.

He said that the entire production from the Pondok Makmur field is delivered to the Balongan refinery in Indramayu, West Java.

Separately, Director of Exploration and Development at PT Pertamina, parent company of PEP, Doddy Priambono said that the second phase development of the Pondok Makmur field will depend on the exploration results made by PEP.

?Thank God, the phase-1 (project) is currently constructing permanent production facilities. The phase-2 (project) will depend on the results of the next exploration,? Doddy said.

?The phase-2 development is expected to start in the middle of next year. Funding requirement ? will depend on the prospect, which is still being evaluated,? he told Petromindo.com.
