PEP prepares to move drilling rigs out of Cepu

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) is making preparations to move drilling rigs from Kawengan P24 in Cepu to the Ranca Jawa well, and from North Kedung in Cepu to Bambu Merah-1 well in Bambu Besar field in Rengasdengklok.

The two wells are scheduled to begin drilling in May of this year, a company senior official said.

?We?re moving rigs to wells that will be drilled including Ranca Jawa-4 in the Tambun area, and Bambu Merah-1 in the Bambu Besar field in Rengasdengklok. (The drilling) is planned to start in May,? Vice President for Exploration at Pertamina EP, Nanang S. Manaf told Petromindo.com

Nanang added that the Randu Lembayung-1 well has just completed logging, and is in preparation to install the 7-inch casing. Meanwhile, drilling at the Azalea-1 and Tambun Deep-1 wells are still in progress.
