PT Pertamina EP (PEP), a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, said that it has managed to bolster production at its recently acquired Babat-Kukui oil field in Jambi.

The company said in a statement Tuesday that as of August of this year, production at the Babat-Kukui field, operated by its Ramba Field unit, reached 993 bopd, higher than the 625 bopd target.

PEP announced early last month it has taken over the operatorship of Babat-Kukui from PT Babat Kukui Energy after the latter?s technical assistance contract with Pertamina expired.

The company said that the strong production performance of the Babat-Kukui oil field has contributed to the overall solid output performance of its Ramba Field operation, which per August delivered average output of 7,400 bopd.
