PEP?s oil and gas production lower than targets

PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), has failed to meet its oil and gas production targets until June of this year.
As of June 28, the firm?s oil production reached 105,879 bopd or 96.5 percent of the target of 109,798 bopd set in the Work Program & Budget (WP&B), while its gas production stood at 1,031 mmscfd or 98.6 percent of the target of 1,045 mmscfd set in the WP&B, according PEP?s spokesman Muhammad Baron.
The firm planned to drill nine wells this year, including five wildcat wells and four delineation wells with the target of discovering 90 million barrels of oil equivalent.
Besides, the firm plans to carry out seismic survey on a total of 1167 km in various areas, including Garcina and Seremban surveys in North Sumatra; Karbela and Selingsing surveys in South Sumatra; Akasia Besar survey in West Java; Lumajang survey in East Java; Tanjung and Bunyu surveys in Kalimantan; and Kupalanda survey in Papua.
