PEP?s Tiung Biru field PoP approved

PT Pertamina EP (PEP), an upstream oil and gas subsidiary of state oil, gas company PT Pertamina, said it has secured approval from upstream authority BPMIGAS to put on production (PoP) Tiung Biru field in Cepu with estimated production of 1,500 barrels of oil per day.
"PoP Tiung Biru has been approved for the drilling of two wells, namely TBR-1 and TBR-2. Preparations are now underway," President Director of PEP, Syamsu Alam, told Petromindo.com. He expects the two wells will commence production in second half of this year.
Tiung Biru field is located within PEP's Cepu operations area which is adjacent to the Cepu giant oil and gas block jointly operated by Exxon Mobil Corp's unit Mobil Cepu Limited (MCL) and Pertamina.
