PT Petamina EP (EP) recently said it is seeking to raise the production of Langsa TAC offshore North Sumatra.
The field, which has three wells namely L1, L3 and H4, is operated by PT Blue Sky and PT PSO AP ONE.
The field?s output can potentially produce 2,070 bopd, but the output significantly dropped in August due to ?leakage?, PEP said in a statement but it did not specify its current output.
It said the field once reached a peak production of 2,450 bopd.
The firm said works are now in progress at the field to repair broken facilities and ensure the field?s storage facility is able to store 200,000 bopd in line with its design.
?By the end of this year, the capacity of the vessel and storage of PT AP ONE will be back to its initial design, that is 200,000 bopd so that the Langsa field can reach the production of 2.450 bopd again,? PEP?s Operation Engineer Asrin Sargomo said.
