PEP spuds South Hibiscus #1 well

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) on October 3 started spudding the South Hibiscus #1 well in Prabumulih, South Sumatra.

?The South Hibiscus #1 well in Prabumulih, Sumatra Region, was spudded on October 3,? PEP Vice President for Exploration Nanang S. Manaf told Petromindo.com Monday.

Nanang said that drilling of the South Hibiscus #1 well is expected to reach a depth of 2,200 meters.

The company has also successfully carried out the third drill stem test (DST) at the Taspen well in Cepu, West Java, with result showing oil rate of 1,000 bopd.

Elsehwere, Nanang said PEP was currently preparing logging at three wells including the Benggala well in North Sumatra, West Suko well in Jambi and Bambu Besar#2 well in Karawang.
