PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Subang Field in West Java said its oil output in the first quarter of this year reached 1,409 bopd, which slightly exceeded the 1,358 bopd target set in the company?s 2017 work program and budget.

Gas output from the field, however, was only 216 mmscfd, lower than the 239 mmscfd target.

?We?ll keep on trying to meet the 2017 production target. For this purpose, we are implementing various efforts to increase production, one of which is through massive activities in the development of the Jati Asri Structure, with fracturing work at the Jati Rimba 01 scheduled in the near future,? said Armand Mel I Hukum, Subang Field Manager in a statement Friday.

Armand said that the program at the Jati Rimba well is expected to provide additional output for the Subang Field to help meet energy demand at home.

He said that the gas output is distributed to 27 industries including fertilizer companies and power plants scattered in West Java and Banten provinces via a 700-km gas pipeline.

Since March 22, he added, PT Pertamina EP Subang Field has started distributing gas at a volume of 0. 2mmscfd to households in Subang via recently completed gas pipeline network connected to some 4,000 households.
