PEP takes over two expiring TAC fields in Papua

PT Pertamina EP (PEP), through its unit PT Pertamina EP Asset 5 Papua Field (PEP Papua Field) has taken over two Technical Assistance Contract (TAC) fields in Papua, namely TAC Pertamina-Intermega Sabaku (TAC IM Sabaku) and TAC Pertamina-Intermega Salawati (TAC IM Salawati) as conracts on the fields have expired.
Document on termination of the fields? contracts was signed on Jan. 9, 2015, PEP said in a statement on Tuesday.
Following the termination of the contracts, PEP Papua Field has now taken over the management of several working areas covered by the TACs, namely A, D, Sabaku, C, F and N working areas.
TAC IM Sabaku and TAC IM Salawati were signed on Jan. 9, 1995, effective for 20 years until Jan. 9, 2015.
The wells managed by both TAC contractors total 19. Of the 19 wells, eight are production wells, three injection wells, eight were suspended. The eight production wells produced 325 bopd in 2014.
