PEP to drill PDE-1 exploration well in August

PT Pertamina EP (PEP), an upstream subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), is currently preparing to drill the Pondok Emas 1 (PDE-1) well in Tambun field, West Java Province, which is scheduled to be spudded early August 2017.

"The preparation for the location is now complete. We are still waiting for the rig from the Pondok Makmur Indah (PIN-1) well which is currently being in the DST (drill stem test) process,? PEP's Public Relations Manager, Muhammad Baron told Petromindo.com.

Baron said the rig will begin mobilization to the location in the second week of July this year.

?The spudding of the well will be started in early August,? he said.
