PEP to manage Sembakung

PT Pertamina EP ( PEP ) will again manage Sembakung block after its technical assistance contract ( TAC ) with PT Medco EP Indonesia in the block expires on December 21, 2013 .
A PEP termination team has been working for 6 months to prepare the handover of the block's management, a Pertamina executive, who wants to remain anonymous, told Petromindo.com.
The source however was quick to add that PEP may end up seeking a partner to develop the block, probably under the joint operation cooperation (KSO) scheme.
PEP PR executive Agus Amperianto confirmed to Petromindo.com that the block's management will soon be handed over to PEP.
Agus added that production of Sembakung has averaged 1,500 bopd so far this year.
