PEP to spud NKT#2 well November 4

PT Pertamina EP (PEP) plans to spud the North Kedung Tuban (NKT) #2 well in the Cepu Block, Central Java, on November 4, a delay from the initial schedule of October 22 as blockade by local communities had hampered the moving of the necessary rig facility.

?We plan to spud the NKT#2 well on November 4. The rig to come from TBR-3 (well),? Vice President for Exploration at PEP Nanang S. Manaf told Petromindo.com Friday.

Nanang also said that PEP has successfully conducted a DST-3 on the West Suko#1 well in Jambi, and obtained a small oil production rate of 40 bopd, with a water content of 80 percent. ?DST-4 is currently in progress, hopefully the results will come out tomorrow,? he said, while adding that PEP is also currently in the process of moving rigs from a number of fields.
