PT Pertamina EP (PEP) said that the drill stem test at the Kawista-1 well in Klamono field, Sorong, Papua, has resulted in a small flow of oil.

Vice President for Exploration Nanang S. Manaf told Petromindo.com on Friday that rig from Kawista well will be moved to the Kuansu well which is also located in Sorong regency.

He added that the Pondok Mulia-1 well in Rengas Dengklok, West Java was recently hit by floods that the site should be repaired.

Meanwhile, Nanang said, the 1,500 HP rig from PT Pertamina Drilling Service has been moved to the Akasia Bagus-2 well in Indramayu, West Java and the preparation for spudding has been 82 percent completed.

"We expect to spud the well in the second week of this February," Nanang said.

He also said drilling at the Jati Ibon-1 well in Melandong block, West Java, which was started on Dec. 20, 2013, is now 200 meters to go to reach the total depth (TD).
