PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), plans to announce the tender winner for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works of a gas processing facility (EPC-GPF) project at the Jambaran-Tiung Biru (JTB) fields in Central Java in the middle of this year.
?The tender is currently still being processed,? PEPC?s President Director Adriansyah told Petromindo.com, refusing to say the number and names of the participating bidders.
He said earlier that his firm targets the EPC to be commenced in April of this year and it will be done in 36 months at the earliest
?We remain committed that the project will come on stream in 2019, according to the PoD (Plan of Development),? Adriansyah said.
The prequalification tender for the EPC-GPF was opened on May 25, 2015.
Tiung Biru field is located within Pertamina EP?s Cepu operations area which is adjacent to the giant Cepu oil and gas block jointly operated by ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL) and PEPC. The Jambaran gas field is located within the Cepu block, which is operated by EMCL. EMCL and Pertamina EP agreed in September 2012 to unitize both fields.
