Permata Resources produces 2.2 million tons in H1

Indonesia coal producer, Permata Resources Group, the subsidiary of PT. Permata Prima Sakti Tbk has produced about 2.2 million tons of coal from its concession in South Kalimantan and Sumatra over the first semester of 2013.

Aris Munandar, Director of Permata Prima Sakti, told Petromindo.com on Tuesday that the production is quite close to the initial target as this year the company is expecting to produce 4.5 million tons.

Permata's primary activity is acquiring-exploring then finally developing / managing coal mines in Indonesia aside from its trading activity. The Group produces coal from its own mines, purchasing coal from third parties and selling coal to emerging markets in Asia including China, India, South East Asia, Japan and Korea.
