Perpetual continues diamond drilling in Sumatra project

ASX-listed Perpetual Resources said on Friday that diamond drilling commenced on July 1 has so far reached 180 meters in two holes at its Painan project located in Sumatra.

The company in the statement said that phase 1 of this program was designed to check the near surface and down dip extent of the two coal seams exposed on surface on four drills.

Hole AA1 has intersected coal seams with minor partings from 12.55-16.30m and hole AA2 has intersected coal seams with many partings from 34.50-37.67m, according to data from the company.

Drilling continues in Hole BB2.

It said that the consulting geologist would be on site next week to confirm coal/drill quality and supervise sampling protocols of the coal intersections that are preserved in cling wrap.
