Perta Daya Gas to build LNG terminal in Gorontalo

PT Perta Daya Gas (PDG), a joint venture of PT Indonesia Power (IP) and PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), is expected to build and operate a receiving and regasification LNG terminal in Gorontalo to enable the 4x25 MW PLTG Gorontalo gas turbine power plant to receive LNG.
IP is a subsidiary of state owned electricity company PT PLN (Persero), meanwhile Pertagas is a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero).
?Now PLN is preparing the design for the receiving and regasification LNG terminal in Gorontalo. The plan to build and operate the LNG terminal is still being discussed with Perta Daya Gas,? Head of Gas and Oil Fuel Division at PLN Chairani Rachmatullah said to Petromindo.com.
Last week, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the PLTG Gorontalo power plant, located in Maleo village, Paguat district, Pohuwato regency, Gorontalo province, sich will increase power supply in Gorontalo and North Sulawesi provinces. Groundbreaking of the project was held in September of last year, and PLN managed to complete the project in seven months.
