Pertagas: 18 firms pass PQ for FSRU project

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, is currently conducting tender process to select contractor for the construction of a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in Cilacap, Central Java.

?There were 26 companies which participated in the tender, but only 18 passed the pre-qualification (PQ),? said Pertagas Director of Commercial and Business Development, Indra Setyawati to Petromindo.com on Tuesday, but did not provide further details including the name of the firms.

Indra said that construction of the FSRU is expected to start as soon as possible, in the hope it could begin operation in 2018. ?The EPC work is estimated to be completed in 18 months,? he said.
