PT Pertamina Gas (Pergas), a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, aims to complete three transmission pipeline projects this year including the Porong-Grati pipeline in East Java, Muara Karang-Muara Tawar in West Java, and Belawan-Sei Mangkei special economic zone (SEZ) in North Sumatra, Investor Daily reported on Monday.

The paper quoted Pertagas President Director Hendra Jaya as saying that construction of the Muara Karang-Muara Tawar and Porong-Grati projects are now entering the final phase, both of which targeted to be completed in July-August of 2016.

?The Belawan-Sei Mangkei SEZ pipeline is actually set to distribute (gas), but is still waiting for the readiness of the off-taker, which is Unilever,? he told the paper recently.

The 30-km Muara Karang-Muara Tawar pipeline, which has a capacity of 270 mmscfd, will transmit gas from the West Java floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) to the PLTG Muara Tawar combined-cycle power plant of state-owned power firm PT PLN.

Meanwhile, the 57-km Porong-Grati pipeline, which has a capacity of 100 mmscfd, will distribute gas for the Grati combined-cycle power plant. The 156-km Belawan-Sei Mangkei pipeline, which has a capacity of 300 mmscfd, will further transmit gas from the Arun regasification facility in Aceh for industries in the Sei Mangkei SEZ.

Hendra said that investment budget for this year has been set at US$350 million, higher than $230 million last year.

Hendra also said that his company will press ahead with the construction of the 271-km Gresik-Semarang pipeline project, with a capacity of 500 mmscfd, hoping to complete it in the second quarter of 2017.

?The Gresik-Semarang pipeline will be continued without having to wait for the on-stream of the Jambanan-Tiung Biru gas field,? he said, adding that the company is still in discussion with operator of other fields in East Java, but declined to disclose the name of the field.

Elsewhere, Hendra said that revenue this year is expected to increase by 55.1 percent to $951.7 million from $613.5 million last year. Net profit is estimated to increase by 10.3 percent to $160.5 million. (*)
