PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) said that construction of a 79-Km gas transmission and distribution pipeline linking Muara Karang in Jakarta, and Muara Tawar and Tegal Gede in Bekasi, West Java, is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of this year, a delay from an earlier target of first semester of 2015.

?We are targeting to complete it in the fourth quarter of 2015,? said Pertagas President Director Hendra Jaya told Petromindo.com Monday.

He did not provide further details. Hendra was quoted by this portal in October of last year as saying that the construction work of the pipeline project was expected to be completed in the first semester of 2015.

The 24-inch pipeline is designed with a capacity of 270 mmscfd and will supply gas to the industrial areas around West Java and Jakarta. Earlier reports said that the project will cost Pertagas US$155 million.
