Pertagas, E1 appoint EPC contractor for NGL plant

Pertagas President Director Suharyanto said that the value of the EPC contract was around US$138 million.
Pertagas is a gas distribution unit of state oil, gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero)
Suharyanto said in September 2009 that four contractors had been short-listed to carry out the project?s EPC. They are: PT Tripatra Engineering, PT Rekayasa Industri, PT Inti Karya Persada Teknik and South Korean firm STX Corp.
The proposed plant, which is slated for completion in 2012, would process 250-300 MMCFD of Pertamina EP?s gas and 10-20 MMCFD of Medco?s gas to extract NGL out of gas, Pertagas. The plant will produce 150 tonnes per day of excess propane, 2,150BPD of condensate and 546 TPD of LPG.
Suharyanto said gas supply agreement for the project would be signed after the government appoints seller(s) for the gas.
Pertagas has 56 percent stake in the project with E1 having 34 percent.(bernard)
