PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) will develop a new gas transmission pipeline linking Muara Karang, Muara Tawar, and Tegal Gede, in West Java.

Pertagas Corporate Secretary Eko Agus Sardjono told Petromindo.com that the 70-km pipeline is projected to be completed at the end of 2014.

The company plans to channel 270 mmscfd of gas from the PT Nusantara Regas-operated FSRU (floating storage and regasification unit) via the pipeline.

Construction of the pipeline will be divided into two sections: the Muara Karang to Muara Tawar track and the Barred Tee Muara Tawar to Tegal Gede route. The company early last month held a tender to appoint the EPC contractor for the project.
