PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, is close to an agreement with ExxonMobil Indonesia (EMOI), the subsidiary of American energy giant ExxonMobil Corp, to share facilities in Arun, Aceh.

Pertagas is building a pipeline linking the Arun LNG plant to PLTGU Belawan power plant in North Sumatra. The pipeline will pass through the working area of EMOI.

?Exxon has voiced supports (for the project) by talking with Pertamina on facility sharing. The move helps very much in realizing the Arun-Belawan pipeline project along with the Arun plant modification project,? Pertagas?s President Director Hendra Jaya told Petromindo.com on Thursday.

He said both parties are hammering out the facility sharing agreement.

According to Hari, the progress of the pipeline construction has reached 50 percent.
