Pertagas focuses on developing gas pipe line infrastructure this year

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, said that investment this year will be focused on completing a number of gas pipeline projects.

Pertagas Corporate Secretary Adiatma said that out of the total US$325 million investment budget for this year, $300 million will be allocated for the gas pipeline projects.

Adiatma explained that there are three gas transmission pipeline projects which are being completed by the company this year. The first is gas pipe line transmission from Muara Tawar to Muara Karang with total length of 29 kilometers. ?The progress of the project has reached around 90 percent, we still have about 7 kilometers of land to be acquired,? he said.

The second project is a gas pipe line transmission from Gresik (East Java) to Semarang (Central Java) with total length of 257 kilometers. ?This project has been reached around 90 percent (of progress) for the stage of EPC (engineering procurement and construction), and is expected to complete by next year,? he said, adding that this project will pass through seven of cities/regencies in two provinces, namely Gresik, Lamongan, Bojonegoro, Blora, Grobogan, Demak, and Semarang.

In addition, the company is also finalizing the construction of the 57 kilometers Porong-Grati gas pipe transmission line, whose progress has reached 90 percent, and is expected to be completed this year.
