"We hope the gas has been able to flow once we finish the construction of the LPG plant in 2011. We need 15 MMCFD for a contract period of ten years," Pertagas's president director Suharyanto told Petromindo.com over the weekend.
Pertagas plans to build the LPG plant under the Build Own Operate Transfer (BOOT) scheme. "The LPG plant will be wholly owned by Pertagas with construction works to be carried out by PT Yudhistira Energi under the BOOT scheme. The construction works are expected to start in two months and to be completed in mid-2011," Pertagas' mining director Kodiyat Harjana said, adding the LPG plant is designed with a production capacity of 80 tons per day.
He said Pertagas is still negotiating with Pertamina EP on the price of the gas. "We hope the negotiations to be completed by the end of this month," he said. (Godang)
