PT Pertagas Niaga, a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has started selling gas from LNG regasification following a gas sales and purchase agreement (GSPA) signed on December 30 of last year with PT Laras Ngarso Gede.
Pertamina said in a statement on Tuesday that Pertagas Niaga also signed an agreement with PT Global Energi Intitama which will support the gas transport.
Pertagas Niaga President Director Linda Sunarti said in the statement that the GSPA with Laras Ngarso is the first pilot project in Java, following similar previous agreements made by the company in Sumatra and Kalimantan.
She added that under the one year agreement, which can be extended following evaluation, Laras Ngarso will market the gas in West Java.
