Pertagas Niaga to set up JV with SK

State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has decided that the future joint venture (JV) partner of South Korean firm SK E&S to distribute gas in Central Java is PT Pertagas Niaga rather than PT Pertagas.

Previously, Pertagas has several times said it would set up a JV with the South Korean firm to distribute gas using the planned East Java-Central Java pipeline.

Pertagas Niaga?s President Director Jugi Prajogio however said on Monday that the South Korean firm would team with Pertagas Niaga.

Both firms are preparing a JV agreement before starting EPC tender.
