Pertagas Niaga to supply gas to Pelindo

PT Pertagas Niaga signed on Monday a Gas Sales and Purchasing Agreement (GSPA) with state owned port operator PT Pelindo I to supply gas from Aceh to two power plants that will be built by the latter in North Sumatra.
The GSPA was signed by Pertagas Niaga?s President Director Jugi Prajogo and Pelindo I?s Business Director Syahputera S at Pelindo 1?s office in North Sumatra?s capital of Medan.
Under the GSPA, Pertagas Niaga will supply 30-35 mmscfd of gas to the gas engine power plants (PLTMG) to be built by Pelindo I at Belawan and Kuala Tanjung ports. The PLTMG Belawan is scheduled to start receiving gas in 2016, while PLTMG Kuala Tanjung in 2017.
The gas will be channelled through the Arun-Belawan pipeline owned by PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas).
