Pertagas, partners to invest $192m to build S. Sumatra NGL plant

PT.Pertagas, a gas distribution subsidiary of state oil, gas firm PT.Pertamina said it and partners would invest US$192 million to build a natural gas liquids plant in Prabumulih, South Sumatra.

Pertagas President Suharyanto told reporters that the plant would become onstream in 2012. The plant will have capacity to process 250MMCFD of gas feed and will produce 150 tonnes per day of excess propane, 2,150BPD of condensate and 546 TPD of LPG.

Pertagas will have 56 percent stake in the plant with South Korean firm E1 Corp having 34 percent. Another 10 percent will be owned by South Sumatra administration-owned company.

Suharyanto said four contractors had been short-listed to carry out the project?s EPC. They are: PT Tripatra Engineering, PT Rekayasa Industri, PT Inti Karya Persada Teknik and South Korean firm STX Corp.(godang)
