Pertagas preparing tenders for Gresik-Semarang project

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) is preparing the tenders for procurement of pipes, compressors, and EPC implementation for the development of gas pipeline network from Gresik in East Java to Semarang in Central Java.
PT Pertagas President Director Gunung Sardjono told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Thursday that his company expected to decide on the tenders? winners in August and September this year.
"We?re now working on the preparations. Hopefully, we can complete awarding all the winners in August and September,? he said.
He said that Pertagas until now is still waiting for the approval of the Final Investment Decesion (FID) from its holding company PT Pertamina.
According to PT Pertagas Corporate Secretary Eko S, as it is concerned with an infrastructure project, Pertamina will be very careful with the approval process.
"Usually, as this is concerned with infrastructure project, they will be very careful in giving the approval,? he told petromindo.com on Thursday.
Eko said that ideally such project should be backed up with state budget, except that its gas supply and anchor buyer are already certain, like the one in the Arun-Belawan pipeline project.
