Pertagas seeks to commission Porong-Grati pipeline this month

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), is seeking to finish the Porong-Grati pipeline project in East Java so that it may commission the pipeline this month.
Pertagas? President Director Hendra Jaya said the commissioning of the project was initially scheduled for June of this year. But the completion of the project has been delayed due to land acquisition problem. However, the land acquisition problem has been solved, allowing the firm to finish the project this month.
He noted however the toll fee of the pipeline is not determined yet. ?There isn?t yet any discussion with BPH Migas regarding the toll fee,? he said.
Downstream regulator BPH Migas? Gas Director Umi Asngadah confirmed that there isn?t yet any talk regarding the toll fee of the pipeline. ?We are waiting for proposal form Pertagas,? she said.
The pipeline has a capacity of 122 mmscfd. It stretches 56 km from Porong to Grati, crossing two regencies, Sidoarjo and Pasuruan. It channels gas to the power plant in Grati as well as industries in both regencies. The project was kicked off in January of this year.
