Pertagas signs gas supply deals with industries in West, Central Java

PT Pertagas Niaga, an indirect subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has recently signed gas sales and purchase agreements (GSPAs) with industries in West and Central Java at a total volume of 1 mmscfd under a four-year contract.

Gas for the industries in West Java will be sourced from Pondok Tengah field in Bekasi, West Java, operated by PT Pertamina EP, said Pertagas Niaga Director Jugi Prajogio, while gas for industries in Central Java will be sourced from the Kangean field in East Java operated by Kangean Energy.

?The margins are quite thin, the most important thing is that we?re making sales,? Jugi said, adding that the GSPAs were mostly signed with food industries.
