Pertagas starts Muara Karang-Muara Tawar pipeline project

The pipeline will be used to channel gas from FSRU Jawa Barat offshore North Jakarta to PLTGU Muara Tawar combined cycle power plant owned by state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) and industries nearby, Pertagas?s President Director Hendra Jaya said in a statement on Friday.
The pipeline will have a length of 30 km and a diameter of 24 inches. The project value is US$65.94 million. Construction will be carried out by a consortium comprising Hutama Karya, Moeladi and Promatcon Tepatguna. Commissioning is scheduled for the second quarter of 2015. It is categorized as open access pipeline, meaning any party can use it on toll fee payable to Pertagas.
