Pertagas to distribute gas for industries in Medan in 2013

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) expects to obtain gas allocation from the government in 2013 to be redistributed to industries in Medan, North Sumatra.
President Director Gunung Sardjono told Petromindo.com Tuesday that the company expects to conclude the Front Engineering End Design (FEED) works for the planned gas pipeline linking Aceh and North Sumatra in September.
?God Willing, by end of 2013 Pertagas will be ready to get gas allocation from the government which will be distributed to industries in Medan and surrounding areas, as well as in Aceh,? Gunung said.
He said that the company will hold tender for the supply of pipe and compressors once the FEED and feasibility study have been concluded. ?Because compressor is a long lead item which requires some time to procure, we?ll hold tender,? he said, adding that the company will need five units of compressor and 290 km of pipelines.
