Pertagas to replace Jambi- S. Sumatra old crude pipeline

PT Pertagas, oil, gas pipeline unit of state oil, gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) is planning to build a new 150-km fuel pipeline from Pertamina?s oilfield at Tempino, Jambi to Plaju refinery in South Sumatra, also owned by Pertamina.

Pertagas President Gunung Sardjono told Petromindo.com on Friday that the new pipeline will replace the existing one, which has been aged.

Gunung said the new pipeline will have capacity to transport 10,000 barrels of crude per day.

The project is now awaits approval from BPMIGAS with FEED is targeted next month and completion is expected in late 2011 or early 2012, Gunung said, without giving detail about the toll fee the company will receive. (bernard)
