Pertagas to sign HoA with SK E&S this month

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a gas distribution subsidiary of Indonesia?s state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, is ready to sign a head of agreement (HoA) with South Korea?s SK E&S in the second week of December to develop a joint venture company which will distribute gas via the Central Java-East Java pipeline.
?God Willing, it (the signing of the HoA) will be between December 17 -21,? Pertagas President Director Gunung Sardjono told Petromindo.com Tuesday.
He, however, said that the company is currently still seeking to obtain certainty for the supply of gas. He added that the gas could either be purchased from the Cepu Block or the Central Java FSRU, which ever could provide supply certainty sooner for the company as well as favorable price.
He is optimistc on the demand side, as gas demand from industries in Central Java remains strong.
