Two new product oil tankers ordered by state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina from domestic shipyard firms PT Anggrek Hitam and PT Multi Ocean Shipyard were launched at the facilities of the two firms respectively on January 30 and 31 of this year.
Vice President of Own Fleet at Pertamina, I Putu Benedin said to Petromnido.com on Monday that the two tankers, each with capacity of 17,500 LTDW, are named Pasaman and Parigi, and were part of the eight general purpose tankers ordered by Pertamina Shipping from domestic shipyard firms this year.
Vessel launching is a process to transfer newly-built vessel from building berth to the waters for commissioning and then sea trial prior to delivery.
