State oil and gas company Pertamina admitted its refinery in Balongan, West Java had been experiencing troubles over the past several days, but the refinery had resumed operation normally on Thursday.
"The refinery's operation is back to normal today. It's only a small repair work," company spokesman Ramli Djaafar said.
Ramli did provide details on the cause of the trouble, but sources said the refinery's cracker was shut down on Aug. 20 due to catalytic problems. (--Hans Bodega--)
