State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has set a target to increase oil and gas production next year by 9 percent to 567,628 barrels oil equivalent per day (BOEDP) from this year?s prognosis, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Tuesday.
The paper quoted acting President Director M. Husen as saying that its oil and gas blocks overseas are expected to contribute about 60,000 BOEPD to the 2015 output target.
Pertamina has set a production target of 554,710 BOEPD this year, but Husen said that only about 94-95 percent of the target would be realized.
Nevertheless, Husen claimed that Pertamina is the only oil and gas contractors in the country whose production has not declined this year amid the current challenges from bad weather condition to obstacles in permitting and land acquisition process. (*)
