Pertamina aims to complete Blue Sky refinery project in mid-2018

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina aims to complete the so-called Langit Biru (Blue Sky) Cilacap (LBC) refinery project in the middle of 2018.

This was said by Pertamina Director of Processing and Petrochemical Megaproject Rachmat Hardadi on Wednesday.

The LBC refinery project aims to revamp the platform units of the company?s Cilacap refinery in Central Java to allow it to produce fuel product with research octane number (RON) of 92, also known under the brand name of Pertamax, with a volume of 91,000 barrels per day.

"When the refinery is completed, 91,000 barrels of gasoline produced by the LBC refinery will become standard Pertamax with RON 92," Hardadi said.
