Pertamina aims to expand its lubricants market in Japan

During the gathering, President Director of automotive maker PT Toyota Indonesia, Masahiro Nanomi was invited to endorse Pertamina to the Japanese market by giving testimonial of Pertamina?s product and the good cooperation between Pertamina and Toyota in Indonesia, the company said in a statement.
For retail lubricants, Pertamina currently works together with Inoa Shouji as exclusive country distributor. Together with its country distributor, Pertamina supplies lubricant to 10 branches of NAFCO Department Store located in Southern Japan.
?We have a vision to be World Class Energy Company which integrates upstream and downstream business, including lubricant business. Therefore our lubricant businesses have to be a world class business as well,? said President Director of Pertamina Karen Agustiawan in her speech.
Pertamina lubricant products have been certified by international quality standards such as API ( America ), ACEA (European Automobile Manufacture) and JASO (Japanese Automotive Standards Organization). The products are also certified by many of automotive manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Toyota, Caterpillar, Komatsu, etc. To satisfy the needs of its customers, Pertamina conducts a very strict control in the production process of its lubricants by applying Total Quality Control.
Karen also said that Pertamina is a market leader in Indonesia and also aggressively expands the business globally. "Pertamina Lubricants market cover domestic and foreign consumers. We dominate over 54% of domestic market. Since July 2008, Pertamina lubricants have been exported to many countries such as Australia, UE Arab, China, Singapore, Myanmar and Pakistan " she said.
