Pertamina, AKR assigned to distribute subsidized fuels

Downstream regulator BPH Migas has assigned state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina and IDX-listed PT AKR Corporindo Tbk to be the distributors of subsidized oil fuels for next year, Antara news ageny said on Monday.

They were selected from seven companies which participated in the contest. Companies that failed in the contest include PT Tri Wahana Universal, a refinery firm.

BPH Migas? Chairman Andy N. Sommeng said only Pertamina and AKR meet the requirements set by the agency.

BPH Migas, however, has yet to decide on the quota of fuel subsidy allocated for each of the firms.

AKR will sell its fuel in Kalimantan, Central Java and Sumatra. (*)
