Downstream oil and gas regulator BPH Migas has appointed state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, and private firms PT Aneka Kimia Raya (AKR) and PT Surya Parna Niaga (SPN) to distribute subsidized fuel products in 2014.
BPH Migas Chairman Andi Noorsaman Someng handed over the contract to the three firms today (Tuesday) in a ceremony attended by Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Susilo Siswoutomo and top officials of the three firms.
The government plans to distribute a total of 48 million kilo liters of subsidized fuel oils in 2014. Pertamina is given a contract to distribute about 47,355 million kilo liters, AKR 640,000 kilo liters, and SPN 5,000 kilo liters.
As previously reported by this portal, there were 10 companies which submitted bidding documents but only three of them passed the administrative selection. Pertamina, AKR, and PSN were also the distributors of subsidized fuel products in 2013.
