Pertamina announces oil, gas finds

Pertamina EP, an upstream unit of state oil and gas company PT.Pertamina reported on Wednesday that it had made five oil and gas discoveries in its working areas in Sumatra and West Java in 2007.
The company said that Karang Makmur (KRM) 1 exploration well in Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi flowed 230 BOPD of oil and 5 million standard cubic feed per day (MMSCFD) of gas after being drilled to the depth of 2,259 meters.
Malapari (MLP) 2 exploration well in Batang Hari, Jambi, which was drilled to the depth of 2,518 meters, tested gas at flow rate of 2 MMSCFD.
Karangbaru Barat (KBB) 1 well in Indramayu, West Java had been completed as oil producing well after being drilled to the total depth of 2,962 meters. Result of three-nose test is 680 BOPD and 8.5 MMSCFD.
Randengan Utara well in Majalengka, West Java flowed 509 BOPD of oil, 233 barrels of condensate per day (BCPD) and 16 MMSCFD of gas after being drilled to the depth of 2,140 meters.
Pondok Tengah Deeper Target well in Bekasi, West Java also also flowed oil and gas from Talang Akar and Pre-Talang Akar formations. The company did not give further detail.
