Tuesday, August 24 2010 - 03:08 PM WIB

State oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) said it has been appointed by government as seller for excess LNG production from Bontang LNG plant, East Kalimantan.

CEO Karen Agustiawan told reporters on Tuesday that Pertamina has identified several buyers from Japan, South Korea and Taiwan with potential offtake of 60-68 cargoes. She did not give detail.

Bontang LNG is estimated to have excess production of up to 68 cargoes next year as contract with Japanese buyers would expire this year and only a small portion of the contract would be renewed. (godang)
