Pertamina asks privilege on CBM tender

State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina requested on Wednesday ten blocks of coal bed methane (CBM) to the government through direct offer mechanism.

 

"The ten blocks are located in working area of Pertamina. Pertamina wants the blocks included as direct bidding," R. Priyono, upstream director at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources told journalists in Jakarta.

 

Priyono said that the government is scheduled to open tender for oil and gas blocks as well as CBM blocks late August under mechanism of regular tender and direct offer.

 

On the other occasion, President Director of PT Pertamina EP Tri Siwindono confirmed that Pertamina want the ten CBM blocks.

 

"The blocks are located in Jambi, South Sumatra, South Kalimantan and East Kalimantan. Out of the total, two are located in East Kalimantan, two in South Kalimantan, one in Jambi and the remainder in South Sumatra," Tri told Petromindo.com. (godang)
